Each nanny is personally interviewed and
previous employer references checked. (work related employers
-Verification of work history and performance level) All this
in hopes to eliminate any candidates from our process that have
questionable emotional stability or records indicating a less than
ideal approach to responsibility and honesty.
We reject 70% of
applications that come thru our office.
All our nannies being placed are
required to attend our training session. Which
covers: Dealing with professionalism, The role of the nanny with the
family, Communication and How to handle issues that may arise.
Also includes: personal conduct, how to discuss issues effectively,
defining and communicating expectations, safety - related to the
position with babies, toddlers, seniors etc.. We
find nannies who we regard as highly motivated as well as emotionally
mature to do the job and feel young enough to connect well with the
children. Nannies who are
interested in Children and enjoy working with them...and not view their
position as "just a job" but a position that they
believe - who they are plays a big part in that child's life.
For infant care: we have Midwives, those with
extensive experience with infants, or are mothers themselves.
Eldercare
and special needs: we have Caregivers with Nursing, Physical Therapy,
Occupational Therapy backgrounds or at least 2 years of related experience.
