Dear Future Employer,
My name is ANGELIE SOLIS; I’m 30 yrs. old and currently working in Hong Kong. I came to Hong Kong in 2003. Leaving my children for the first time, my plan is leave them to my family whom I know I can rely on and I work abroad to support their needs for their future and to support them financially. The worst thing about my present job and also the saddest was when my employer past away. because they don’t need my service anymore, I also attach myself working with this old lady, she is very nice, she died because she has a cancer of the blood. The most difficult thing I did was to leave my family and work abroad, my first time to be away from them. I was disciplined by my parents by teaching me the right conduct and attitude towards other people. Be polite and be helpful. The way I was disciplined as a child and how I will disciplined my children is just the way my parents discipline me and that is to teach them from what is right from wrong. The problem I had regarding my job was when my employer was dying, I took care of her and also doing the household at the same time What I do for fun is not much but I love singing and chatting with my families and close friends. What makes me happy is when I spend time and going out with my friends. The important thing in choosing a new job is the good relationship between me and my employer. Open communication, I am a Filipino and English is my second language, there are times that I don’t understand everything, I’m looking forward that my future employer will give me a chance to learn more, because I will try my best. I want to come to Canada because I want to help my family and also for my good future someday. I would like to stay longer as long as they like my service me and they still need me. The types of people I don’t like are the two face people, not direct and who love to gossip. I’m willing to work anywhere in Canada. My future plan is to be successful with my degree course. I finish Commerce, major in Management. Currently in my job, I am responsible for all of the cooking, I am very much comfortable at the kitchen, I cook anything they ask me to cook. A recipe book is a big help. I take good care of my employer’s children (boy-16years old and girl-14years old). I also help them with their homework. I’m also in charge of doing the general household which made their life easier. I was never been arrested, I never use drugs or alcohol. I have no dietary restrictions. I’m hardworking, patient and loving to the kids and my job. I am most suited to care for toddlers. Yes, I would care for special needs children/adult. Yes, I do have experience. Yes, I am athletic. I love playing badminton for fun. Always anticipate temper tantrums at any given situation at any given times. Be supportive with all their needs and interest or acknowledgement your feeling give them choices or options. Tell them some stories regarding with his/her favorite cartoon characters. My daily routine: I wake up in the morning at 5:30am. At 6am I cook breakfast for the 2 kids. I accompany them to school; then going back home to clean the house and wash the clothes. At 10am I go to the market to buy foods or some other things needed at the house. 11am I cook for lunch, after eating the lunch I will wash the dishes. After washing the dishes I will hang the clothes then clean the toilet. After I’m done with cleaning I will iron the clothes, at 4:30pm I will wait for the kids to arrive from school. Then I will prepare the food they want to eat for lunch. 6pm preparing to cook for dinner. 8pm is the time for our dinner. After dinner I will wash the utensils and clean the kitchen and fix the clothes which I laundry in the morning.10:30pm its time to rest and give thanks to our lord and pray to give me a good health everyday and also to my families and friends. It’s not an easy job but I’m surviving and my patience is getting longer I think I need to, it will help me a lot to keep my self sane J Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter and hoping to hear from you as my future employer. Sincerely yours, ANGELIE SOLIS
